AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton says his team need to 'wise up' and cut out the errors after yet another disappointing away performance.

The Bucks went down 3-2 at Ebbsfleet United, despite the hosts going down to ten men after 17 minutes when the game was still goalless.

Sinton's side conceded three times before strikes from substitutes Adam Proudlock and Ryan Brooke reduced the arrears but the boss is becoming tired of seeing his side struggle against 10.

He said: "Something seems to hold our team back, at 3-0 down we seemed to get rid of the reins holding us back but why we couldn't do that at 0-0, I don't know.

"Our game understanding has got to improve and we probably are where we are because momentary lapses have cost us when we've been in control of games.

"We've got to wise up and learn the game, some teams play the games and the rules to the limits without cheating and we're just a little bit naive.

"It has been the story of our season, errors in concentration, people switching off and losing their discipline and we've been punished for it."

The boss must have been tearing his hair out when his side conceded just before the break, but all three of his substitutes made a positive impact on the game.

Proudlock and Brooke got on the scoresheet and Jay Smith dictated play in midfield at spells during the second half.

Sinton admitted that he need to change things and was pleased that the change in tactics at half-time worked well.

"We changed it at half-time and I thought all three substitutions did well," he added.

"Jay got us on the ball and he got us playing.

"I'll take tons of positives from the second half, but the game was lost in the first hour and that is not good enough."
