AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton believes his side will bounce back from the defensive frailties which cost them a crucial Blue Square Bet Premier League victory against Darlington.

The Bucks led 3-2 on Saturday but conceded a late equaliser which leaves them four points clear of the relegation zone with five game to play.

Sinton refused to be too harsh on the Bucks backline as he strives to find some consistency in Telford's performances.

"The better teams win the league because they are more consistent," said the Telford manager. "We are in a transition period at the moment. If we had been playing Conference North football we would have probably won that game 6-3 but at the level we are at we've just got to cut out the mistakes.

"It's a little bit of a lack of ability because concentration and decision making is ability.

"We struggled in one area of the pitch where usually we're quite good.

"Without naming individuals it is there for everyone to see. They were considerably below the standards that they have set. We can't expect to defend like that and expect to win any games."

Meanwhile Marlon Jackson limped out of the draw with a hamstring injury to add to a growing list of problems for the Bucks boss.

On-loan forward Ryan Brooke missed the game with shingles while Nathan Rooney, Steve Kinniburgh and Steve Jones are all battling injury.

"Marlon has a hamstring problem which we will need to have a look at," added Sinton.
