AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton hopes to add to his squad in the coming weeks as his injury list continues to grow.

The Bucks boss was left with only 17 fit players to select from for his side's 1-0 defeat by Southport on Saturday, and with six more matches still to play in a hectic March starting with tomorrow's visit of Kidderminster, Sinton may well move for new faces.

Wideman Steve Jones could be ruled out for the rest of the season with the knee injury suffered at Alfreton, while skipper Shane Killock picked up a knock in training last week.

"Steve has had that injury at the end of last season or the start of this and it's a recurrence of that," said Sinton.

"It's a grade two medial sprain. It's probably going to be four-to-six weeks, if not more.

"We've Jones out, Ryan Valentine out for three games, Killock limped out of training on Thursday and Jon Adams has pneumonia so he won't be ready for the foreseeable future.

"Adam Proudlock is coming back but hasn't played since the end of October and wouldn't be able to start, so we are down to bare bones."

Meanwhile the Telford chief refused to be too downcast by the weekend defeat, settled by an own goal and not helped by a Sean Newton missed penalty.

"I would have liked something from the game and I thought we deserved something," added Sinton. "But we'll bounce back and try again on Tuesday. We still control our own destiny."
