Boss Andy Sinton today urged AFC Telford United to cope with their ever growing fixture backlog.

The postponement of this afternoon's trip to Kettering means the Bucks have now lost three successive games to the weather and have not played since the 2-0 defeat at Grimsby on January 28.

The cancelled home games against Kidderminster Harriers and Forest Green Rovers earlier in February have now been pencilled in for March 13 and 27 respectively, meaning the Bucks will face seven games next month.

That threatens be a crucial period for Sinton's squad as they battle to preserve their Blue Square Bet Premier status.

And the Telford chief has urged his players to be ready for what the elements and fixture list throws at them.

"Having the games off is frustrating but there is nothing we can do about it," Sinton said.

"We don't want to be left with a backlog heading into the final month of the season but if they are the cards we are given, then they are the ones we have to play with."

Telford are still waiting to fix up a new date for their trip to crisis club Kettering.
