Two late goals sent AFC Telford United spiralling to defeat against in-form Grimsby Town.

Substitute Rob Duffy put the visitors ahead on 82 minutes, nodding in from close range off a cross from the left.

Frankie Artus made the points safe a minute from time, the Mariners counter-attacking clinically after the Bucks had thrown men forward in search of an equaliser.

The result was harsh on Telford, who were the better side in the first half and created the better chances.

Grimsby piled on the pressure in the second half but Telford looked to have weathered the storm.

They might even have taken the lead themselves, Ben Futcher heading wide off a corner and Nathan Rooney being denied by keeper James McKeown.

And they were made to pay a heavy price for those misses as Grimsby finally found their range and extended their unbeaten run to 13 games.
