Forgotten man Sean Evans is hoping to re-launch his AFC Telford United career in pre-season.

Evans missed the whole of the Bucks promotion winning Blue Square North Bet campaign after suffering an horrendous double leg break in a pre-season friendly with Wolves last August.

The 23-year-old left winger from Ludlow is still on the road to full recovery, but is hoping to get a chance to earn a deal with the Bucks in pre-season.

"The injury is still a bit sore now and again but it's getting there now and seems to be stronger," said Evans,a former Manchester United trainee.

"I've spoken to the gaffer (Andy Sinton) and the chairman (Lee Carter) a few times while I've had the injury and I'm hoping to go back in pre-season and show I'm fully fit and can play in Blue Square Bet Premier.

"It's going to take time to get back up and running and I will need a lot of games in pre-season.

"I might go and play for some other teams as well during pre-season just to get the match time in but we will see how it goes.

"I'm under no illusions I've got some really hard work ahead to build myself up but I'm looking forward to it."

Evans admitted the last nine months have provided the darkest period of his football career.
