"I know for a fact then when we win it in front of their four or five thousand fans it will be even sweeter," said Forsdick, who moved from Telford to Nuneaton in June 2009.
"We are completely confident. We were going into the tie and we've not seen anything to change our minds.
"We back ourselves away from home. We've got a brand of football that suits that and we've got some added motivation seeing them celebrate their goal like they've won the title."
Despite Forsdick's confident demeanour, he does not believe victory will be easy. "I can't see loads and loads of goals. I would be surprised if there was," he said.
"It will be close. We just have to try to keep our house in order."
Meanwhile, Telford chief Andy Sinton is warning his side not to take victory for granted as they finalise their preparations for the second leg.
"People on the outside might think we've done the hard part, coming back home level pegging, but the hard part starts on Sunday," he said.
"Nuneaton are a good side, and I am sure they are saying the same about us. We are expecting a tough game with what is at stake but I'm confident we'll get the result we want."
