Sinton vows to win 'ridiculous' Shropshire Senior Cup

AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton has vowed to field a side to win the Shropshire Senior Cup tonight - despite insisting: "I still think it's a ridiculous fixture."
Sinton does not want his makeshift side - largely made up of youngsters and trialists - to feel like "second class citizens" against League Two neighbours Shrewsbury Town at the Greenhous Meadow (7pm).
There has been plenty of criticism of the Shropshire FA's decision to stage the final when both sides are going for promotion, and Sinton admits he will not be taking any risks with his senior players.
"I wouldn't have thought you will see anyone who started against Gloucester on Monday and possibly you might not see any of the subs," said the Telford boss, whose side will be competing in the Blue Square Bet North play-offs next month.
"Read into that what you want, but we've got bigger fish to fry in the next couple of weeks.
"It's a bit of an inconvenience to me, to be honest.
"I said my bit last week and nothing has changed.
"I think it's a ridiculous fixture but it's there so I'll put out a side that will go and try and win the game.
"No matter what sort of side we send out, we won't be going there as second class citizens," he added.
"I know they are a couple of levels above but we'll be going there to win the game."
