Forward-thinking AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton has set his sights on improving his side's goals-for column next season - whatever the outcome of their promotion bid.

Sinton remains confident that his side can get out of the Blue Square Bet North and was hoping his side can further their cause away at Hinckley this afternoon.

But he accepts they are highly unlikely to reel in runaway leaders Alfreton and has already started analysing why.

"Alfreton have out-scored us and that ability to get goals turns draws into wins," said Sinton.

"It's something I will want to address in the summer, whichever league we end up in.

"And it's not just strikers - I'll be looking all over the park for where we can get more goals.

"If we don't go up I will have to sit back and think about the difference between us and Alfreton and how we get to that position.

"If we do go up then I don't want to come straight back down so I would still have to address the goalscoring."

Meanwhile, Sinton revealed that he will hold more talks with chairman Lee Carter next week over extending his contract, which already runs to the end of next season.
