Manager Andy Sinton is keen to tie the player down for next term, whichever division they are in - but revealed that the terms of the loan deal make him ineligible should Telford reach the Blue Square Bet North play-off final on Sunday, May 15.
"Sam's a player I've been keeping an eye on for 18 months now and I'm delighted to have him," said the Bucks boss.
"But there is one slight downside in the deal that we've done in that if we reach the play-off final he wouldn't be able to play.
"We'd have to buy his contract out to make him our player and I'm not sure, with the transfer deadline having gone, that we'd be allowed to do that — we couldn't commit to the contract anyway because that would have meant paying him right through the summer.
"But I will be sitting down with Sam and talking about next season," Sinton added. "I think he likes it here — I know he travels a fair way but he's finding that okay."
Meanwhile, a fringe Telford side won 3-1 in a friendly against Midland Alliance outfit Rocester at the New Bucks Head last night, with recent signing Levi Reid scoring twice.
