"I had a couple of the Blue Square Bet Premier teams come and ask to speak to me but I didn't want to go there," said Mills, who was this afternoon hoping to inspire the Bucks to victory over Darlington in the FA Trophy.
"I feel this is a bigger club."
"I'm flattered to know that teams like Kidderminster and Tamworth were interested, it's nice to know that teams do want you.
"But I'm happy to be back here - and if we get to the play-offs then I've signed in time to be involved."
Mills ended his first spell with Telford in order to go back to Derby and try to attract interest from League clubs.
A trial at League Two side Burton followed but nothing came of that and so he jumped at the chance of regular football back at the New Bucks Head.
"I had a couple of clubs that enquired but I don't really know the ins and outs of what happened when they spoke with Derby," said Mills.
"I'm just concentrating on playing well with Telford for the rest of the season."
