England under-19s claim third place in World Cup
Shropshire cricketers Ed Barnard and Joe Clarke have today helped England claim third place in the ICC Under 19s World Cup in United Arab Emirates.

England defeated Australia in nail-biting fashion, taking a one wicket victory with just two balls remaining at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Australia won the toss and opted to bat but Barnard, from Shrewsbury, took 3-22 and Clarke, from Oswestry, took two catches to help restrict their opponents to 246-7 from their 50 overs.
Both players walked for single figures with the bat, with Barnard dismissed for five and Clarke for seven, but England managed to reach their winning total in the nick of time thanks in no small part to Ben Duckett's century.
