Shropshire bowlers urged to decide on Norman Ford honour
Shropshire's biggest league has made a fresh appeal to its bowlers for ideas about how they can honour their late president.

The SPS Whitchurch League want a lasting tribute to Norman Ford, who was also a past County President, who died after a road accident last year.
"The league would like to name a trophy or competition after Norman and this was put to the executive meeting in October for members to go away and come back in December with ideas," explained a Whitchurch spokesperson.
"Only one idea was brought forward, and that was by an individual, so we are now looking for league players to comment and come up with ideas – as clubs haven't come up with anything."
One possible solution is for the averages winners of all clubs to play for a trophy in his memory in a kind of Champion of Champions day.
Whitchurch League officials are also seeking comments on their plans to split the Jubilee Doubles into two separate knockouts, one for teams in the top four divisions and one for the bottom four divisions, to give lower teams a chance of winning something.
Bowlers and their clubs have until the league's AGM on Tuesday, January 21, at the Archibald Worthington Club in Whitchurch (7.30pm) to let officials know their views
