Fan Zone at AFC Telford for England opener

AFC Telford United will stage a jam-packed Fan Zone before England's UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship opener against Italy at the New Bucks Head.

The host nation take on the Italians in the first game of the tournament at 12.30pm on Tuesday afternoon, after the opening ceremony.

But the venue will be opening at 10.30am for fun and games, as Shropshire celebrates another prestigious international fixture being staged in the region.

Birmingham City Ladies players Cristina Torkildsen and Katie Wilkinson will be on site to greet supporters as they arrive at the stadium.

Charlotte Lade, one of the world's top professional football freestylers, will be showing off her amazing football tricks and skills.

Fans will also have the chance to pose with the Women's Under-17 Championship trophy at the Fan Zone, in an event sponsored by Continental Tyres and Lego Friends.

It will be a house of trophies in a trailer on site that homes the digital station and the FA WSL trophy, Cyprus Cup and Continental Cup.

Games include batak boards, a speed cage, a target shoot inflatable while there will be music, hair braiding and face painting, all of which will take place outside the stadium.

Bobby the Buck and Women's Super League mascot Berry the Bear also square up in a dance off.
