Boss Andy Sinton today hailed AFC Telford United's strong start to the season, insisting: "We could have won nine out of nine."
The Bucks were held to a 0-0 draw at Corby on Saturday, a result that left them as the only remaining unbeaten side in the Blue Square Bet North.
Sinton admits they were not at their best in Northamptonshire, but still saw plenty of positives - particularly a sixth clean sheet of the campaign.
"To go nine games unbeaten is absolutely fantastic, especially with just the three goals against," said Sinton.
"Arguably, the three games we've drawn no-one would have questioned it if we'd have won them.
"We had the better chances in the second half on Saturday, we certainly should have won down at Redditch and we certainly should have beaten Blyth so we could have been here with nine wins out of nine."
Sinton handed a debut to new signing Stefan Bailey on Saturday, bringing the former QPR man in to cover the absence of the previously ever-present Carl Rodgers.
"I thought he did quite well," said Sinton."I went with Stefan as someone to look after the ball a little bit better than anyone else we've got could."
Meanwhile, Sinton revealed that one more player could go out on loan this week following Ashley Woolliscroft's temporary switch to Stafford last week.
Woolliscroft made his Stafford debut on Saturday, helping his new team to a 3-1 win over Gainsborough Trinity.
Defenders Stuart Whitehead and Martyn Naylor and midfielder Will Richards all travelled to Corby but could not force their way into Telford's match 16.
"I can't take the squad down to 16 or 17 because then if we pick an injury up we'd be scratching around," said Sinton.
"There might be movement on one this week, but I'm happy with what I've got. People will have to be patient to take their chance."
