Market Drayton's talks with ex-Shrews player Steve Jagielka

Market Drayton Town are in talks with former Shrewsbury Town and AFC Telford United ace Steve Jagielka about a possible move.

Jagielka played just over 80 minutes for Drayton in their 3-1 pre-season friendly defeat to Conference National side York City last night and Town boss Simon Line said he was keen to keep the midfielder after an impressive display.

He said: "We will be speaking to him and see what he can do for us.

"That was his first game and he hasn't done any training for various reasons but as he showed that for us he can be outstanding.

"He made a big difference to the fact that we played good football and we didn't just give the ball away."
