Mick McCarthy today closed the book on the summer's rumblings of a Kevin Doyle exit - claiming a rival club would have to offer the "earth, moon and the stars" for Wolves to sell.

The Molineux boss expected Doyle's future to be top of the agenda as he took his squad to Ireland and there has been talk of interest from Arsenal.

"It's amazing," said McCarthy as Wolves continued their preparations for tomorrow's opening friendly against Bohemians.

"Leave him alone and let him play his football. If Man United offer the club 50-mill and give him 200 grand a week, I can't keep him."
