Wolves have completed their second signing of the January transfer window with the arrival of French midfielder Adlene Guedioura.

Described as an all-action midfielder, the 6ft tall 24-year-old has signed on a six-month transfer from the same Belgian club Charleroi as winger Geoffrey Mujangi Bia with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

Chief executive Jez Moxey said: "He plays so much like an British-type all-action midfielder that he's known for tackling almost too hard – people at his club find it difficult to get their heads around.

"He has such an incredible engine."

Guedioura has an interesting background. The son of an Algerian football international father and a Spanish international basketball playing mum, he speaks three to four different languages.

The capture of Guedioura comes after Wolves refused to get involved in a bidding war with Birmingham for Villa midfielder Craig Gardner.

But the club are still working behind the scenes on their No 1 target, Hull winger Stephen Hunt.
