Striker Chris Iwelumo is unlikely to be fit for Wolves' clash against Southampton on Good Friday - but the club are still hoping he won't be out for the season.
The 16-goal striker is still waiting to be scanned as the inflammation on his right knee hasn't yet settled after the horror tackle by Lee Carsley in Monday's 2-0 defeat against Birmingham.
That means there is little recovery time for the Scotland international to face the Saints, or Derby on Easter Monday. But hopes are high that the 30-year-old has not sustained serious damage.
Marlon Harewood looks likely to fill in for Iwelumo as the Championship leaders bid to get their automatic promotion bid back on track.
The on-loan Villa forward could assume the main striker's mantle this weekend with injury doubts surrounding Iwelumo and 24-goal top scorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
