Another game off last night was the clash between Wem USC and Meole Brace to keep the green free for county practice ahead of tomorrow's Endsleigh Senior County Championships clash between Shropshire and Cumbria.

In the games which did take place St Georges hammered Castlefields 21-2 at home and now have a massive 29 point gap at the top after nine games.

SJ Bayley have moved into second thanks to a comprehensive 13-1 victory over Childs Ercall, with Peter Grimston earning the coppers with a 21-1 victory.

Chester Road inflicted another home defeat on Newport - 9-5 - while improving Wrockwardine Wood won 11-3 at home to Archibald Worthington.

In the night's other game Donnington Wood beat Bylet 10-4.
