John Breeze has rejoined the Telford giants after a two-year spell with Whitchurch's Chester Road while Staffordshire big gun Craig Barker has also agreed to return to the Dragons.
England international Breeze, the County Merit winner in 2000 at Bicton, helped St Georges to a league and county cup double in 1999 but then left to join Donnington Wood.
One of the undoubted stars of Shropshire's away team until illness intervened last year, Breeze signed for Chester Road in 2005 and did the double again with them.
Delighted St Georges skipper Mick Jones is sure the captures of Breeze and Barker can only help their bid for a successful defence.
They have lost Andy Jones (to Wrockwardine Wood) and Paul Reeves (Sir John Bayley) but Jones said: "We feel we have covered the players we have lost - and we will be in with a good shout this year."
Breeze will join Peter Farmer in travelling from Childs Ercall to play in Telford, and his departure will hit Chester Road hard as they are already without Ian Booth due to work and Paul Smith who is switching back to AWC.
