Thousands of foodies from across Mid Wales and further afield flocked to the annual Welsh Food Festival.

A record number of food and drink producers attended this year's Welsh Food Festival, which was held at Glansevern Hall, near Welshpool, on Saturday and Sunday.

And thousands of food and drink fans attended the event, which is the largest food and drink festival in Mid Wales and the borders.

As well as the range of stalls, there were cookery demonstrations led by celebrity chef Dudley from S4C and lots of activities for the family, ensuring there was plenty on offer to satisfy both young and old alike.

Bernard Harris, chairman of the Welsh Food Festival said: "The festival was a delight for all the family and the magical setting of Glansevern Hall makes it one of the best loved food festivals in Wales.

"There was something to ignite everyone's passion whether it was demonstrations from leading chefs, hands-on activities for children or enjoying live musical and dance entertainment by the lakeside.

"Visitors were guaranteed a fantastic day out for all the family to enjoy."

Attractions at this year's show included more than 100 producers with the very best of Wales's meats, chutneys, cheeses, wines, ales, chocolates, fish and coffees.

"People really enjoyed the garden it was set in and the array of different produce and how tasty it was," Mr Harris added.

He said preparations were now already under way for next year's event.
