Shrewsbury trains cancelled
Commuters were left standing on the platform when three trains between Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street were cancelled today.

West Midlands Railway said that because a member of the train crew was unavailable the 2.47pm and 5.47 trains from Shrewsbury and the 4.05pm from Birmingham were cancelled.
A spokesman said that three coaches were leaving Shrewsbury at 6pm and calling in at Wellington, Oakengates, Telford Central, Shifnal, Cosford, Albrighton, Codsall, Billbrook and Wolverhampton, for onward train services.
