Mobile charging cables are not only fragile but also notoriously easy to lose, so a solution that solves both problems is welcome by just about everyone.

A crowd-funded campaign on Kickstarter has come up with a simple solution, which turns your phone’s charging cable into a stylish bracelet, preventing the sort of damage usually caused by tumbling around in your bag.

“NILS is designed with a purpose to set your hands free from carrying any excess cords, which function as a charge-and-sync wearable cable,” creators Nordic Union said.

“Nobody would notice what it really is, it can be your bracelet daily.”

The group has already raised well over £87,000 for the NILS cable, surpassing its initial goal of £7,500 last month.

Starting at little over £4.50 excluding shipping, buyers can get hold of a wearable charging cable, available in Lightning, Type C, Micro USB options for just about every phone.

There are three wrist sizes available and it’s also water resistant, so should survive the odd spillage or rainfall.
