Plans to build 80 houses in Telford
About 80 new homes could be built on a grazing land in Telford.
Outline planning permission is being sought to build the homes on land north of Grove Road, Overdale. The plans are due to be discussed at Telford & Wrekin's Plans Board on October 3.
A report to the meeting recommends delegated powers are given to the manager of Development Management to grant outline permission for the scheme.
Permission would be subject to a Section 106 agreement to provide 15 per cent affordable homes, £500 per home for off site recreation facilities and more than £61,000 for leisure facilities.
But concerns have been raised that the homes would have problems with noise from the M54.
Lawley & Overdale Parish Council has objected to the scheme. Ten objections have also been sent to planning chiefs, raising issues with over-development and loss of green space.
