The Lea Manor Hotel, near Albrighton, failed to meet the reserve price of £300,000. The auction, held at the Aston Villa football ground by CP Bigwood, had the hotel listed as a potential development site.
But the highest bid for the boarded up hotel was £270,000, leaving the site derelict for the foreseeable future.
