Renault’s new Kangoo Z.E. 33 has arrived the UK — becoming the longest range EV van currently on sale.

The Kangoo Z.E. 33 features a 33kWh battery that can deliver a claimed real-world range of 124 miles, with a six-hour recharge time when using the Renault-provided fast charger.

Four variants of the Kangoo Z.E. 33 are on offer, starting with the Kangoo Van — available with two seats and a load capacity of 3.6m3.

Next is the Kangoo Maxi, which also has two seats but a larger load capacity of 4.6m3.

Following that is the Maxi Crew, which is designed to carry groups of people. Load capacity is down to 1.3m3, but it features five seats.

Topping the range is the Maxi Crew Van Cab. It also comes with five seats, giving it the same capacity as the Maxi Crew, but features a multi-positional bulkhead that allows a load capacity of 3.6m3 when the extra seats aren’t needed.

As for performance, the smallest of the Kangoo range can do 0-60mph in 20.4 seconds with the battery and up to a top speed of 81mph. The larger Maxi versions take 22.1 seconds to hit 60mph, but have an equal maximum speed.

Standard equipment on all vans includes DAB radio, electrically operated door mirrors, electric front windows, cloth upholstery and load area lighting.

Options available include rear parking sensors, a body-coloured front bumper and Renault’s R-Link infotainment system.

The Kangoo Z.E. 33 goes on sale in the UK from today, with deliveries beginning in November. Prices start at £14,194.
