Porsche 911 GT2 RS revealed at launch of Forza Motorsport 7 video game
New GT2 RS is set to be the most powerful Porsche 911 ever built

The new Porsche 911 GT2 RS has broken cover at a gaming expo in Los Angeles.
The hard-core German sports car was revealed during the launch of the new Forza Motorsport 7 game, which took place at an Xbox preview at the E3 gaming convention. It will act as the cover star for the new game when it hits shelves on October 3.
While explicit details regarding the new Porsche’s performance figures weren’t mentioned, punters were provided with a close-up look at the new model.
Compared with regular 911s, the GT2 RS is far more extreme in its aesthetics. Swollen arches house massive wheels, while a sizeable rear wing will help keep the car firmly planted on the ground.
The GT2 RS will be powered by an uprated version of the standard 911 Turbo’s 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, which is expected to produce in excess of 650bhp. The sprint from 0-60mph should be dispatched with in under three seconds.
Full details on the new high-performance Porsche are expected to be revealed at the car’s official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
It is likely that the new GT2 RS will be the most powerful 911 put into production, and it is expected to go on sale next year.
