A drainage channel that was a part of a £3.6 million scheme to improve and enhance the town centre has become filled with silt, cigarette butts and so on.

Adam Cawley, of the Visit Shifnal Business Forum, said firms in the town are overall delighted by the look of the town centre since the massive refurbishment.

But he said a massive puddle forms in the town "every time it rains".

"We don't want to moan too much but we want the council to come out and maintain it. They aren't communicating with us although we have raised it with councillors and Shifnal Town Council," he said.
