Firefighters tackle wheelie bin fire in Leegomery

Firefighters used buckets of water to put out a blaze in a wheelie bin on Sunday evening.

A fire engine was scrambled to Leegate Avenue, in Leegomery, at 7.09pm to reports of a fire in the open.

They found a fire in a domestic wheelie bin and used buckets of water, rakes, shovels, and mat hooks to deal with it.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service incident room received their stop message at 7.32pm.
