Fire crews scrambled to liquid nitrogen spill

Two fire engines have been sent to a Telford trading estate after a spillage of liquid nitrogen.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said the hazardous substances incident at Stafford Park 18 is currently ongoing.

A spokesman said they received reports of the incident, which involves a tank containing liquid nitrogen, at around 1.25pm on Sunday afternoon.

The chemical is considered dangerous due to its considerable low temperature of –320°F (–196°C).
