TPG Complex Care, a division of the Practice Group based in Telford, will give the hampers to food banks. Members of staff also reached into their pockets to donate to the Salvation Army.

Janet Smart, community care secretary at the Salvation Army in Telford, said: “We have a lot of families around Telford in real need. We are so grateful for local businesses like the Practice Group for all the contributions they make. It’s so moving and really makes a difference.”

Sharon Lane, head of Complex Care Services in Telford, said: “Struggling at Christmas is something that nobody needs, we are just grateful we are able to help those less fortunate at what can be a really difficult time of year. Giving is the true meaning of Christmas.”

TPG Complex Care works alongside Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), local authorities and the wider NHS to allow people with significant health conditions, long-term illnesses or disabilities to be treated at home rather than in hospital.
