The event was hosted by Daljit Kaur and Parmajit Singh, who run Admaston News in Telford.

The hospice, which operates in Telford and Shrewsbury, was presented with the money last night.

The event included a raffle, with Raymond Mitchell receiving a £40 meal voucher donated by the Ugly Duckling restaurant. Prizes were also donated by Wyevale garden centre in Donnington.

Mrs Kaur thanked everybody who had supported the event, which was held at the old post office next to the newsagent in Sutton Road.
