Firefighters respond to A49 crash involving vehicle carrying sheep

Firefighters in Shropshire responded to a crash involving a vehicle "transporting sheep" on Tuesday evening.

Fire appliances from several stations responded.

Crews from Church Stretton, Ludlow and Wellington were called to the collision on the A49, Newington, Craven Arms at 8pm.

The crash involved "one articulated vehicle transporting sheep" and one car.

Fortunately, according to Shropshire Fire and Rescue, no one was trapped and none of the animals were injured.
