The effort raised cash for the group's chosen charities of the year, which are the Midlands Air Ambulance and Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

And the fundraiser has put the group on track to hit their annual charity target, says Hannah Rose, the club's secretary.

“We had a great day selling logs to the local community and managed to raise an incredible £950," said Hannah.

" We would like to thank all those who purchased logs and donated money, and a big thank you also needs to go to our generous supporters who donated the wood to be sold.

“The log lug has put us in a great position to meet our charity target of £2,500 this year. We are currently planning our next charity event, and will also be carol singing in the lead up to Christmas, to further add to our charity funds.”
