MP thanks restaurant for 'putting Shrewsbury on the map' as it's named county's best curry house
The MP for Shrewsbury met the owners of Shropshire's best curry restaurant at a presentation in Westminster on Monday.
Daniel Kawczynski was on hand at the National Curry Awards (NCA) where Frankley-based restaurant, Third Place, was officially named Shropshire's best curry house.
Third Place, in Frankwell, said it was "honoured and proud" to receive the award. It is the second time that Third Place has won an NCA, which was founded to celebrate the successes of the UK’s £5 billion curry industry, with the restaurant having won it in 2019.
Manager Mahfuz Raha said the award represented the hard work put in by the team at the Shrewsbury restaurant.
