Firefighters from Shrewsbury rescue one-year-old child locked in car

A one-year-old child was released from a car by firefighters after becoming locked in.

One fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury at 2.37pm on Tuesday to Gloucester Road in the county town.

It was classed as a non urgent call.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said it was a call to "one-year-old child locked in car." They added that the child was "released from car by firefighters."

Their incident over message was sent back to HQ at 3.14pm.
