More than 75 per cent of tickets for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs have already been sold and Theatre Severn bosses are gearing up for a knockout season.

Since the show was announced back in December, there has been a clamour for tickets.

Starring everyone's favourite Dame, Brad Fitt and Radio Shropshire's Eric Smith, who will be taking on the role of Herman the Henchman, the show opens on November 29 and runs until January 7.

Ticket sales are up 20 per cent on last year's sell-out production of Cinderella and extra performances have been scheduled to cope with the demand.

Brad Fitt will be making his seventh appearance at the theatre following on from last year's starring role as Buttons in Cinderella.

Craig Reeves, marketing manager at Theatre Severn said: “Tickets for the pantomime at Theatre Severn are selling quicker than ever again this year.

"Since the day they went on sale back in December, and following last year’s unforgettable production of Cinderella, we have seen unprecedented demand at box office.

"Sales are currently around 20 per cent up, with 75 per cent of tickets now sold.

"We can’t wait to share another unforgettable pantomime season with our audiences, and can promise everyone a show packed with magic, mayhem and lots of laughter for all ages.

"That is what makes pantomime truly unique and now a Christmas tradition for so many.

"We’re also really excited to welcome a hugely talented cast which is sprinkled with even more stardust than usual this year.

"While a number of performances are now almost sold out, there are still plenty of tickets available for selected dates, but we certainly encourage everyone to book at their earliest opportunity.”

Telford-born writer Paul Hendy has pulled out all the stops and assembled a cast with more experience than you can shake a stick at.

Among those performing are actors who have appeared in Star Wars, Willow, Mary Poppins Returns and Game of Thrones.

Rehearsals get under way in late November. For more details and to book tickets visit theatresevern.co.uk or call the box office on 01743 281281.
