Firefighters called out over sheep stuck on ledge near Oswestry

Firefighters were called out after a sheep got stuck on a ledge at a quarry near Oswestry.

It happened on Sunday afternoon at Blodwel Bank, near Treflach.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said it received a call reporting an incident classified as animal rescue in Oswestry at about 12.25pm.

"Sheep that was trapped on the ledge - fell off before the fire service arrival - now in the care of farmer - no action," they added.
