The crash happened at Llynclys crossroads next to the White Lion pub

Three cars were involved in the crash at Llynclys Crossroads, near Oswestry, shortly after 7pm yesterday.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were all sent to the scene on the A483 and the road was closed for more than one hour.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, who sent crews from Oswestry, Ellesmere and Wellington, said one person had been cut out of a vehicle and was then taken into the care of ambulance staff.

There has been no confirmation of the severity of any injuries suffered in the crash but West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment

The junction, where the B4396 crosses the A483, is extremely busy and is a well-known dangerspot for motorists.

In 2013 the speed limit was reduced from 60mph to 40mph in a bid to reduce the number of crashes.
