Royal seal of approval for award-winning Shropshire farm
A farm in Shropshire gained royal approval at a country show.
Princess Anne personally congratulated the team from Moor Farm, near Baschurch, for its prizes at the Three Counties Show in Malvern.
The accolades included the Silver Hopton Perpetual Challenge Cup for the best group of three Hereford cattle, which have been bred by the Timmis and Everall family since 1919.
The bull named Mallet and the two heifers named Duchess and Dowager won four classes before going onto the championships.
In addition, Hazel Timmis, Elaine Timmis and Phil Allman won the National Hereford Stock Judging Championships.
Poignantly, three of the prizes won over the show had been presented by Hazel's grandfather and great grandfather many years ago.
Melissa Timmis, farm manager, said: "It has been fantastic to win so much with three of our show team cattle. Winning these championships means so much to the family and highlights the quality of beef that we sell at our farm shop."
