Reporting from Market Drayton Livestock Market, auctioneer Bernie Hutchinson comments: "Best sold on the day would have been the bulls with strong clean coming a very close second and returning an average into the teens. Leading lights shone brightly to 140p for steers, 138p for bulls and 137p for heifers."

Whilst auctioneer, Bob Oakes reported on the dairy cattle: "One of the biggest entries in recent times found another great level of demand for the top quality on show but the second quality animals suffered a little. A Charolais stock bull from Mr R. Everall sold to an impressive £950.00."

Heifers To - £1,470.00 Messrs R.J. Clare & Partners; £1,390.00 Messrs P.C. & V. Kenny.

Second Calvers - £1,385.00 Messrs A.J. Busby & Son; £1,090.00 Messrs R.J. Clare & Ptns.

And on Store Cattle as another impressive entry found a good trade throughout with some good quality animals creating some order of interest. Steers to 123p and heifers to 110p.
