How will Alistair Darling's pre-budget announcements affect you? This is one of the many questions which will be answered at an evening aimed at protecting family farming businesses from the taxman.
Organised by Balfours, the event is to take place at Bicton, near Shrewsbury on Wednesday, October 24, following the success of the spring series of 'pie and pint evenings.'
Balfours' Rory Galliers explains: "Never has it been so important to ensure that the implications of inheritance tax are accounted for when passing the business from one generation to the next.
The evening will address not only how to minimise the Gordon Brown effect - his legacy as chancellor - but also what his successor has unveiled."
The practical aspects of financing the change-over will be addressed by Balfours' Peter Wright, while Harriet MacKenzie-Williams will be speaking on pension planning.
The 6.30am for 7pm event, co-ordinated by Balfours business adviser, Trevor Sheard, is at The Four Crosses at Bicton, near Shrewsbury and will include the highly popular 'pie and pint.'
