The Ifor Williams trailer was taken from the Rudge Heath area, near Claverley, yesterday between 12.15am and 6am.
Police say the two cockerels were in the back of the trailer. About £2,000 damage was also done to a parked car.
Constable Phil Neale said: "One red and one blue rare breed cockerels have been stolen. The thieves might not known about them so it is possible they kicked them out at some point."
He added: "This is the second incident to happen in this area in a couple of weeks involving trailers."
The police say they are looking for a larger than usual 4x4 which left via the Bridgnorth Road towards Wolverhampton. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Constable Neale on 08457 444888 or via the anonymous Crimestoppers number 0800 555111.
