Looking after the environment and making a profit, is it possible? This will be the key question addressed at a series of free seminars across Shropshire and the borders.

The free seminars will be led by Balfour's farm business advisor, Trevor Sheard, pictured, who will outline the current situation affecting farming and examine where the opportunities lie.

Trevor said: "We want to encourage farmers to take a fresh look at how they perceive environmental issues. By rethinking where the profit is coming from it could well be worth while investing time and effort into environmental schemes which can run alongside a profitable farm business."

The seminars will be held at Bishop's Castle, tomorrow; Oswestry on November 29, Shrewsbury on December 6, Bridgnorth on December- 13, Leominster on January 24, Offley, on January 31.
