Market Drayton man, 23, killed in crash is named

Tributes have been paid to a Market Drayton man who died after a car crashed down an embankment.

William Bye, 23, of died after the car he was in crashed in Adderley Lane, near Market Drayton at about 5pm on November 27.

He was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

People have been taking to William's Facebook page to pay tribute to him.

Rory Smith posted: "Will, I don't know what to say I'm utterly devastated, I loved you like a son. Take care son I'll miss you."

Cassie Spooner wrote: "You were an amazing lad and you were taken way too soon. Always happy and smiling. I'm glad to have known you. Rest in peace."

Josh Brookes added: "20 years we were best friends. You were my brother. From the highs and lows we never gave up on each other. It always seemed to be me who looked after and helped you, but now pal I need it the other way round.

"I'm lost without you I don't have another friend like you. I love you. Will Bye for the first time in our lives I don't know what to do."

Sue Nagington said: "Will was a great man and will be sadly missed."

An inquest will be opened at the coroners court in Shrewsbury tomorrow.

Police spokesman Daniel Butler, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "On November 27 at approximately 5.05pm West Mercia Police received reports of a collision on the A529 between Adderley and Market Drayton. A single car, a Honda Civic, with two occupants was involved.

"One 23-year-old man was taken to the local hospital for shock. A second man was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead."
