College launches pop-up stall in Telford
Derwen College’s newest satellite site in Telford opens its first pop-up market stall at Stafford Park 7 on Wednesday, between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
Students at the specialist further education college for 16-25 year olds with special educational needs and/or disabilities will be able to put their business, enterprise and hospitality skills into practice selling home-made bread, cakes, jams and chutneys, as well as gifts from the college’s garden centre and gift shop in Gobowen.
Customers will be able to enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee with their first purchase.
The students from Derwen@Telford, have been busy using marketing skills to create posters, flyers, stickers to promote the event.
A spokesman for the college said: "We hope that this will be the first of many stalls at Derwen @Telford."
