The Shropshire Dyslexia Awards, being held for the second year running, is seeking nominations for its Learning Support category.

Founder Eli Wilkinson said the category was open to anybody who helped provide educational support for people with dyslexia.

"It is for people who provide assistance in the classroom, often giving one-to-one support to pupils with dyslexia.

"Often they are more specialist in dealing with dyslexia."

She added that the category was open to people working with all age ranges, from infants to adults.

Miss Wilkinson said candidates would be people with a positive, proactive and inclusive attitude, who encouraged and motivated children.

The awards, which cover the whole of the county, including Telford & Wrekin, will be held at the Enginuity museum at the Enginuity Museum in Coalbrookdale on November 25.

A total of 14 awards will be presented, but the nominations have closed for all the other categories.

Nominations can be made on the website www.theddc.org.uk/dyslexiaawards before midnight on Thursday.
