Video and pictures: Field of dreams in Shropshire students' ploughathon
These fresh-faced students spent 24 hours ploughing a field in the name of charity.
The group, based at the Walford campus of North Shropshire College, covered about 150 acres during the day-long ploughathon.
The event raised money for the RD Park Trust, named after Walford's first principal, Don Park.
The charity supports students at the college with their studies in terms of helping them meet the costs of travel and course-related study tours such as the three-week exchange visit to an agricultural college in New Zealand.
The land the students ploughed is owned by Bruce Udale, an ex-governor of Walford, while Rae Valley Tractors donated two tractors with ploughs for the event.
Mr Udale, meanwhile, is due to pay the same rate as he would to a contractor for the amount of ploughing done, which is expected to come to about £3,000.
He said: "The students managed to plough 150 acres, which is excellent going for young people who are inexperienced at ploughing.
"The event serves two purposes, not only did it raise money for the charity, it also gave the students a chance to gain experience using commercial machinery on a big field.
"It was a fantastic event, the weather was on our side and we are hoping to raise about £7,000 to 8,000 in total."
All money from the event, which took place on Friday, will go to the trust to support students looking for an agricultural education.
Chris Jones, director of the Walford campus, said: "We are very grateful to Bruce Udale and his family, and to the wider agricultural industry who have supported such a brilliant event."
The ploughathon formed part of the wider Autumn Action Event organised by Mr Udale, who farms near Telford.
The event, held at Little Bolas between Hodnet and Crudgington, gave local suppliers, farmers, students and visitors the opportunity to view the latest kit and machinery available.
