Olympic hero Kristian Thomas visits Shrewsbury High Prep School
Midlands Olympic bronze medal-winning gymnast Kristian Thomas dropped into a school in Shrewsbury to chat to excited pupils about his experiences and his summer of success at London 2012.
Kristian, from Wolverhampto0n, the reigning English all-around champion and former British champion, won bronze with Team GB at the London Olympics and yesterday dropped by at Shrewsbury High Prep School to show off his prized medal.

Pupils at the school on Old Roman Road had chance to quiz the star, who secured team bronze for the British men at the North Greenwich Arena in July when his highly-technical vault scored a massive 16.550 – the highest of the competition.
The 23-year-old started his career in gymnastics at the age of five and he now trains between 25 and 30 hours a week at Earls Gymnastics Club in Halesowen and Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Newport, which is the national base for British Gymnastics.
Pupils watched a video of the medal-winning performance before he arrived.
Viki Williams, school secretary, said: "Kristian had previously visited the school prior the Olympic Games.
"They had followed his story and he was such a humble man and all the students were just in awe of him."
